There's a Monster in the Well!

by respected sketch comedy group, Bitter Show

WHAT: This SF Fringe 2008 show reunites members of once-popular San Francisco sketch comedy groups, Please Leave the Bronx and The Fresh Robots (both performed at the first SF Sketchfest), as well as a geniune actor and a pregnant Devil-ette.

What happens after Chuck Norris fights a government-created killing machine, who just happens to be invincible, and then chucks him into a well? Hilarity happens. Then it mows a tasty breakfast burrito. And then it peeks up the skirt of a Jews for Jesus cheerleader. And then it really wants to hear the new Frankie Goes to Hollywood album, the double record one. And then it decides to stop using the word "bush" to talk about a you-know-what because of you-know-who. Hilarity is freaking busy. Plus we guarantee a monster in the well onstage for the entire show, commenting on the hot action.

06-27-2008 - Special Joke-e-oke on Friday!

This Friday we are going to be throwing down a special Special Joke-e-oke showcase, with routines from your favorite comedians, the wonderful spinning Wheel-of-Oke, and a head to head Yo Mama off! We’ll have some esteemed guests in the house, including local comedy GOD Mike Spiegelman. That’s right he is a GOD.

In case you are still unfamiliar with the concept, its simple: we have comedy routines that you read off the monitor, just like karaoke. 2 minutes for you to channel your favorite standup comedian; Jerry Seinfeld, Margaret Cho, Andrew Dice Clay, etc.
Pyrotechnics…A new theme song…Heckles…Free underwear…you get the picture. If you are available this Friday night for an hour, please come down and show how we throw down in San Francisco! If you only come to one Joke-e-oke show this year, come to this one.

If you’d like to do a routine as part of the gameshow, email hallonius@hotmail.com to stake your claim. There are only a handful of spots, so we are taking names! We promise to start on time, promptly at 8pm.

Last Voyage of the Omega opens this Friday at 10PM.

Our summer sci-fi comedy sitcom opens this week - our first episode - Mind Poison!

In a time three billion years after they tried to sleep off their hangovers...

In a place called Earth that formed around their spaceship...

There were three intrepid, wacko travelers on a journey to the surface of the Earth ... a journey called: Last Voyage of the Omega.

Follow Janet, Reyna and Prepiel, the stranded crew of the Omega, as they fight against the evil space-accountant Carlotta Catorce for the hearts and minds of the human race in Episode 1 - Mind Poison. The evil Carlotta Catorce goes to wine country to wreak havoc on the wine industry and the human race. The crew arrives just in the nick of time ... to get wasted on tainted wine. Find out what happens!

Also, in a never before tried experiment, you can interact with the crew of the Omega by following omegavoyage on Twitter and asking for advice. Ask a good question and we just might mash it up and put it in the show.

Make Out Room - January 4, 2008

> The Resolution Solution

> Resolutions: from the Latin for "Failures in the forthcoming year." Why do we make resolutions? Does anyone ever keep them? In this past year, we all gained weight, quit going to yoga class, and didn't learn that second language. This year, we're going to not do some more things on our list. Maybe we won't do what we didn't do last year!

> So what's the Resolution Solution? Join Bucky Sinister and three of his favorite comedians, Joe Klocek, Julia Jackson, and Mike Spiegelman, as they look back at the year that was and the year that probably won't be either. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve were all let-downs for you, weren't they? January 4th is going to be the best anti-holiday of the year!

> January 4th, 2008. 7 pm. $6.
